The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests will elaborate the measure of the temporary stop for fishing in which to define the criteria for admission and selection of beneficiaries, to be subsequently submitted, for formal approval, to the Feampa Monitoring Committee, the European Fund for maritime affairs, fisheries and aquaculture; after which it will be possible to activate the interventions envisaged by the National Operational Programme.

“We realize that often the actions of the administrations do not respond in a timely manner to the needs of operators in the sector – undersecretary Patrizio Giacomo La Pietra specified – and also for this reason we intend to review the division of responsibilities between the offices of the ministry, in order to overcome the critical issues that we have encountered and make the administrative activity more effective”. The undersecretary recalled that on December 19, 60 million euros were credited by the Ministry of Economy and Finance as an advance on the overall total of Feampa resources due to Italy for the activation of the activities programmed under the Operational Program.
